This started with a farm that got sold.
Brian Huch grew up in Missouri, and grew up going to his family's farm. Not occasionally. All the time. It is where a good share of what he remembers about being a kid actually happened.
The farm is not in the family anymore.
It was not lost to anything dramatic. There was no disaster and nobody behaved badly. It was sold because a set of decisions had to get made by people who loved the place and did not have a full picture of what their options were. By the time anyone understood the alternatives, the decision had already been made.
That is a much more common story than most families realize, and it is almost never about money. It is about information. Who knows what the place costs. Who knows what it could earn. Who has seen the survey. Who has any idea what happens next if one person stops being able to handle it.
Recreational Property Partners exists to put that information somewhere a family can actually see it, early enough to matter. Brian lives in Bemidji now, surrounded by lakes and land owned by families in exactly that position, most of them one conversation away from a decision nobody has prepared for.

Bemidji and the lake country around it. Somebody can drive out and stand on the property, which is not a small thing when the question is what shape the roof is in.
